Help Us Place an Accessible Dock at Little Buffalo State Park

The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation is raising more than $50,000 to place an accessible canoe and kayak launch at Little Buffalo State Park. It will be the first of its kind in the area. Thanks to donations from great individuals and the local community at the end of 2018 we were able to match a challenge grant to purchase the dock and site preparations are taking place. But we have to pay for them! $8,000 is still needed.

We believe that our state parks and forests - and the waters that make them so special - should be open and available to all. An accessible kayak/canoe launch has become a popular way to equalize access to this resource for people with disabilities and older paddlers, which making it possible for all members of families and groups to enjoy an outing together.
